What Is This Screen Recorder?

This tool uses your browser's built-in Screen Capture and MediaRecorder APIs to record your screen, a specific window, or a browser tab - and turn that recording into a downloadable WEBM video or animated GIF. Nothing is uploaded: the entire recording and encoding process runs locally on your device.

How to Record Your Screen

  1. Click Start Recording and, when your browser prompts you, choose whether to share your entire screen, an application window, or a browser tab.
  2. Optionally check "Also record microphone audio" before starting if you want narration.
  3. Do whatever you need to demonstrate - the timer tracks recording length.
  4. Click Stop, preview the result, then download it as WEBM or convert it to a GIF.
